It has been a full two months since the establishment of NIB on 1 February and thanks to the strong support of clients, ex-work colleagues and personal friends our business is off to a relatively good start. We have started doing bespoke research work for several clients and a major US stock brokerage firm has begun to outsource some of their corporate visit / IR conference call interpreting work out to us. We think the numbers say it all; over the February and March we handled 40 IR meeting / telephone conference call interpreting jobs, wrote 27 short quick bespoke telephone update notes as requested, and also carried out a company on behalf of a client. Furthermore, we are undergoing negotiations to start business with two other overseas brokers based in Japan. Meanwhile, in our Business Development Services division we have been doing some preliminary work for a UK mobile content firm that is seeking a Japanese tie-up partner and possible investor (sorry details are classified). We just want to take this opportunity to say thanks to all our fans for their direct and indirect support – including all the gift food / alcoholic beverages delivered to our office!
